What’s Happening-November 2018

The Stars Aligned at Blue Tie Gala

Because of your incredible generosity, we were able to exceed our fundraising goal and raise $393,000 for Children’s Bureau’s child abuse prevention programs.

The fact that we beat our goal is truly something to celebrate, but even more worthwhile is the knowledge that this money will help 40,000 at-risk children and their families this coming year.

Thank you to our Blue Tie Gala sponsors, donors, event committee and attendees for your support and contributions.

Let’s Chat About Philanthropy

Join us for our next #blueandyouchat on November 29 from 11 am to 12 pm for National Philanthropy Month. This month, Children’s Bureau’s Grant Manager, Kate Stanley, will be our guest and we’ll discuss the importance of giving to nonprofits and different ways to contribute your time and money.

Connect with us on Twitter to lend your voice to the conversation.

Celebrate National Adoption Month with Us

Did you know that in Los Angeles County, the foster care population exceeds 21,000 children with 500 of those foster children waiting for an adoptive family? Since 2000, Children’s Bureau has finalized 2,116 adoptions of vulnerable children in Southern California. Brittany and Jeremy are part of our family of resource parents who have provided a loving home for children in need.
