It is critical that parents learn the signs of mental health distress in their children such as extreme sadness, isolation, and depression, so they can get them help before it’s too late.
The need has never been greater. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 57% of teen girls reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless in 2021 and 30% seriously considered attempting suicide. When identified early, however, preventative steps have proven successful.
While the need to support children’s mental health continues to grow, so can our ability to provide that support.
Help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 this fall to fund programs like Family Enrichment and Parental Education which help parents address their child’s needs and increase child wellbeing.
