I’ve worked at Children’s Bureau for eight years now. What I love most about it is the people who work here and the company’s acceptance of work life balance. You become part of a family working here and for that I am so grateful.

Associate Director

Development

I love working at Children’s Bureau because I believe wholeheartedly in the mission and vision of the agency. In the eight years I’ve been with the agency, I’ve experienced this mission and vision not as just statements on paper, but as a living, breathing process made real by the staff and leadership of the agency. It’s this dedication, teamwork, and shared purpose in serving our community that sustains me both professionally and personally.

Training Coordinator

HR

I joined Children’s Bureau in December 2017 at the Magnolia Place as a Receptionist. Let me tell you, it was the best decision I made. The people here are wonderful and easy going. They make it an easy work environment to be in. The reason I joined is because of what Children’s Bureau is all about and that is “Protecting vulnerable children through prevention, treatment, and advocacy.” I wanted to join an organization where I can make a difference in people’s lives and I’m right at home. On top of that, there are plenty of perks and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Receptionist

Prior to coming to Children’s Bureau in October 2017, I worked in the field for close to 20 years, providing crisis intervention case management services to youth and their families who were involved with the Juvenile Justice System or the Department of Children and Family Services. While I miss field work, Children’s Bureau gave me the opportunity to serve the community from a preventative approach. I am becoming a more well-rounded social services provider and I am able to share with my staff all of the things I have learned through my journey as a field worker. I am passionate about children’s rights to a loving, safe and healthy life. Children’s Bureau gives me the chance to do my part in providing support to our community and to the amazing program staff who I work with.

Program Supervisor

I love working with Children’s Bureau because I’ve seen people go above and beyond to help out families in need.

What I appreciate most about Children's Bureau is that I feel respected, valued, and engaged. Throughout all levels at CB, people recognize and show appreciation for the hard work and dedication that staff put forth. Children's Bureau's leadership understands the power of investing in employee’s professional development as it ensures that we maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills that are needed to deliver a professional service to our families in the community. I love working at Children’s Bureau!

Partnership Manager

MCI

At Children’s Bureau, the work we do saves children’s lives. And that’s a pretty strong reason to come to work every day. I enjoy my co-workers and feel appreciated and recognized for the work that I do.

Director

Corporate and Foundation Relations

From the start, I was compelled by Children’s Bureau’s mission to prevent child abuse and build strong families. During my internship, I was able to gain experience in marketing by creating content on Children's Bureau's social media channels and blog in addition to assisting on the Blue Tie Gala marketing campaign. I was fortunate enough to attend the fundraising event and meet supporters throughout the community. Learning the functions behind what makes this organization so impactful has been incredibly eye-opening. A testament to this is the strong dynamic witnessed among the staff and interns and seeing children’s smiling faces and playful spirits as I walk in each morning.
