The Angelic Auxiliary

Since 1996, The Angelic Auxiliary has proudly raised more than $3.5 million in support of Children’s Bureau – a 117 year old non-profit leader in child abuse prevention and treatment services.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly harmful to vulnerable families with young children. Studies show that the weight of poverty can overload parents’ abilities to provide the supportive relationships their children need to thrive and even result in child abuse and neglect. In fact, a report of child abuse was made every 4.6 minutes in Los Angeles and Orange Counties in 2020.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Child abuse is preventable.

Child well-being is directly correlated to family and community well-being. That’s why Children’s Bureau offers critical tools such as parenting classes, support groups, and home visits to help educate and strengthen parents while connecting them to community resources for unemployment, healthcare, and mental health.

Here’s where we need your help. Children’s Bureau’s prevention programs are primarily funded by individuals like you who understand that child well-being is a community responsibility.
