Blue Tie Gala Soared High Above Expectations

Thank you to all who supported our First Annual Blue Tie Gala. Together we raised over $525,000  to protect our city’s most vulnerable children. We are especially grateful to Event Chair Julia Stewart, along with the host and event committees, for organizing such a stellar evening. Look forward to details of next year’s event to be held on November 3, 2018.

Every Child Deserves a Safe, Loving and Permanent Family

Children’s Bureau has openings for resource families who will care specifically for children during the reunification process with their parents. There are 64,000 foster children in California alone, 21,000 of those being in Los Angeles County. Of those children living with foster families, 500 of those children are unable to return to their family and are waiting now to be connected to a family who will adopt.

Children’s Bureau is seeking strong, caring resource families to consider fostering and adopting these children.  Families are needed for all ages from babies to toddlers, school aged, teenagers, older children and sibling sets.  Monthly Information meetings are held in five locations:  Los Angeles (Magnolia Place Family Center), Santa Clarita, North Hollywood, Carson and Palmdale.

Our Families Are Thankful for You

Nearly 100 of our families enjoyed an abundant Thanksgiving meal together, made possible by Lana and Richard Rizika and the LA Kids Dinner Program.

The day was filled with delicious food, arts and crafts for little ones and lots of family bonding.
