IRVINE, CA - 06/28/2008 Annual Creans' Clambake a Rockin' Success in Raising Funds for Children's Bureau The 11th Annual Creans' Clambake & Rockin' Lobster Bash held on June 28 at Shady Canyon Golf Club was a huge success raising an estimated $202,000 net for Children's Bureau, a child abuse prevention and treatment agency. More than 350 guests attended the sold-out event and were greeted with complimentary cocktails while they bid on 105 unique silent auction items, seven live auction items and purchased clam shells which were redeemed for a prize. Actor Erik Estrada was the evening's emcee which also included a steak and lobster dinner, live dancing to the sounds of The Tijuana Dogs and a rousing live auction thanks to professional auctioneer Jeff Frieden. LOS ANGELES, CA - 04/08/2008 Los Angeles Family Center Takes Shape With Financing From U.S. Bank and Stonehenge Capital Children's Bureau, a nonprofit leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse, today announced that it received New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) financing from U.S. Bank and Stonehenge Capital to complete its new $24 million Family Center near downtown Los Angeles. The capital injection from the U.S. Treasury's New Markets Tax Credit program leverages the more than $20 million Children's Bureau raised through its 'Stories of Promise' capital campaign. The agency's partnership with U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC), U.S. Bank Commercial Banking and the Community Development subsidiary of Stonehenge Capital Company provided Children's Bureau with financing necessary to complete the renovation of their 46,000 square-foot warehouse at 1910 Magnolia Avenue and convert it into its permanent headquarters and the new Family Center at Magnolia Place, which is expected to be fully up and running by Fall 2008.
