Movie Night at Magnolia Place

On June 19, more than 240 children and parents from Magnolia Place Family Center attended a slumber party-style movie night that featured a screening of Finding Nemo. In keeping with the event’s underwater adventure theme, the children were given a coloring book filled with fish and were encouraged to find those same fish in the Magnolia Place aquarium. Children and their parents also decorated fish and shark-shaped name tags and enjoyed snacking on pizza and popcorn. Volunteers from the Angelic Auxiliary, President’s Invitational Golf Committee and Groovaholix Dance Company helped with the event set-up, arts and crafts and food service. The event was well received and families are looking forward to another movie night in the near future! |
