Deloitte LLP Impacts the Anaheim Community
Anaheim, CA - June 5, 2009
(Anaheim, CA) On June 5, 2009 more than 80 employees of Deloitte LLP volunteered at Children's Bureau’s new Anaheim Harbor Family Resource Center, formerly named Salk Family Community Center, for Deloitte LLP’s IMPACT Day, a day-long celebration of Deloitte’s year-round commitment to workplace volunteering. On IMPACT Day Deloitte’s employees are encourage to contribute their time and skills to nonprofit organizations.
Volunteers helped paint all interior and exterior walls of the new building, as well as a children’s mural in the Child Center. Deloitte LLP provided all the paint and supplies for the renovation as well as funds to repair water fountains, install baby changing stations in both the men’s and women’s restrooms and purchased items for the childcare room. Orangewood Children’s Foundation was instrumental in getting the funding from Deloitte for these changes. Anaheim Harbor Family Resource Center will open on July 1, 2009.
Anaheim Harbor Family Resource Center, a collaborative of Children's Bureau (www.all4kids.org), provides a comprehensive array of social, educational and health services that will empower families and children with the necessary skills to increase self-sufficiency and confidence resulting in optimal academic and social success.
