FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Children's Bureau Recieves Season of Caring Grant ANAHEIM, CA - March 26, 2009
(Anaheim, CA) On March 25, 2009 Children’s Bureau received a check for over $36,000 from the Season of Caring Program, a joint venture between the Orange County Register and the Festival of Children Foundation. This grant will fund the BIS KIDS program, a substance abuse prevention program for children ages 7-12. Skilled counselors, who are trained by the Betty Ford Clinic, conduct two-day, interactive seminars for children and their parents.
For 105 years, Children’s Bureau (www.all4kids.org) has been dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. The agency currently serves over 7,000 families each year throughout Orange County with a variety of services that include in-home parent education, family resource centers, NuParent groups, mental health services, adoption, foster care and more.
