Children's Bureau Presents 15th Annual Mighty Rubber Ducky Derby and 3rd Annual Just Ducky Car Show
IRVINE, CA - August 18, 2008
(Irvine, CA) 15,000 yellow rubber ducks will race to the finish at this year's Annual Mighty Rubber Ducky Derby on Sunday, October 5. This delightful day of fun at Wild Rivers Waterpark will feature lots of ducky prizes, exciting entertainment, and abundance of family activities and plenty of delicious food and beverages. Peggy Goldwater Clay, Lisa Fujimoto and Ron Dominguez are co-chairs for the event. Guests can take a break from the water and view the incredible car collection in the Just Ducky Car Show. David Jabczenski, Janey and Mike Walker are the trio behind this electrifying display of only the best of show. The event is expected to raise $225,000 net for Children's Bureau, a nonprofit leader in the prevention of child abuse.
The Very Important Duck (VID) reception is one of the highlights of the day. It features lively entertainment, a silent auction and mouthwatering food from the following vendors: Bedazzled Catering; Bluewater Grill; The Cellar; Dave and Buster's; DoubleTree Irvine Spectrum; Brewbaker's; Haagen-Dazs, Hyatt Regency Irvine; Hyatt Regency Newport Beach; In-N-Out; Jerry's Wood-Fired Dogs; Lawry's Carvery; Newport Dessert Company; Rainforest Cafe Downtown Disney; Royal Thai Cuisine; Sage; Saltwater Events and Catering; and Villa Nova. VID reception price is $90 for an adult, which includes 4 racing ducks, free parking and 1 park admission. Children ages 5 to 12 are $30 per person with 2 racing ducks and 1 park admission.
